Beachcomber
Listen to Casson's Beachcomber performed by Premier Cru for the BBC by watching the video opposite!
Casson wrote this song on a misty Autumn morning on Aldeburgh beach. Benjamin Britten wrote Peter Grimes there, a haunting sea-faring tale. The watery shimmer of the vibraphone and sorrowful cello bring a ghost story to life in this recently rediscovered recording. Seamlessly edited by Robert Blackmore.
